Achieving Success as an Executive
For years, I thrived as a finance and operations executive leader in a fast-paced professional services organization. I was working hard and racking up accolades, but I started to question where I was heading and what would be next. Through two decades of business and people leadership roles, I realized my true passion lies in supporting and empowering people as they grow and evolve..
Though I loved the collaborative, people-centered aspects of my work, I didn’t feel that my current professional role was aligned with my values and passions for the future.
Eventually, I asked myself if my current career was really fulfilling me. I knew I needed something different and I had to make a change.
The Turning Point
I met my own leadership coach, which was a turning point in my life. From a place of vulnerability, I began to explore deep inner work which would lead me to a new career. By reflecting on strengths, values, and the things that truly bring me joy, I was able to discover my real passion: supporting and empowering others.
My transition to leadership coaching was not an immediate one. The process took time, reflection, planning – and courage. Changing roles or careers or starting a new one is not a single decision; it’s a series of decisions that are almost never a straight path. Rather, you can expect high highs and low lows; moments of clarity interspersed with phases of doubt. Many people associate their identity and worth with their professional role and contributions, and this can be a difficult mindshift.
Redefining success on my own terms was worth it.
My Purpose Today
The experience was so impactful I decided to become a coach myself. I saw the power in coaching and wanted to be that for others. Now, I help people to navigate periods of career change and evolution and seek professional and personal lives that mirror their values. In addition, my technical background and experience allows me to support individuals and organizations with expert guidance and collaboration beyond coaching.
Change is a constant in life, and I’m passionate about helping clients to manage transitions and challenges over the course of their career. I know that it’s possible to achieve greater alignment and fulfillment in life, and that is my goal for every individual and team that I work with.
